Work. Experience. Discover. This is the motto of the association, which was founded in 1948. At present, its members number 87 countries spread across six continents.

Work placements organised by IAESTE allow students of the MINT subjects to gain practical experience, use their foreign language skills and, above all, to improve their cross-cultural skills.

IAESTE was founded in London in 1948 and has placed over 360,000 students in more than 80 countries worldwide to date. This makes it the world’s largest trainee exchange organisation for students of engineering and the natural sciences.

IAESTE consists of the umbrella organisation IAESTE A.s.b.l., the IAESTE National Committees and the IAESTE Local Committees.

We are using a lot of acronyms, details what they mean can be found here [pdf, 81.41 KB].
